Sink and Water

Generally campervans are fitted with two water tanks, one for fresh and one for waste water. Better equipped vans have these externally mounted, or at least accessible from the outside. The majority of campsites have drain-down points where these can be emptied with little problem and then filled with a hose. Internal removable tanks are useful as they can be emptied anywhere which is a bonus in poorly equipped campsites but can take up valuable storage space.

Campervan sinks are small and generally only useful for washing hands and cleaning teeth. Dishes and washing need to be done elsewhere. Most campervan sinks run off a 12V pump and only provide cold water. Larger vans can have hot water and even showers - but these take a large amount of power to run.
