High Top Campervans
High Tops are very similar to pop tops in their layout - the only major difference is the roof. A fixed fibreglass shell is added to the roof giving headroom throughout the van as well as extra storage above the cab. This does however cause problems with high cross-winds as well as the limited headroom in many car parks. However the extra storage room makes them more suitable for extended trips and they are becoming more popular because of this. There's also less liklihood of leaks in the roof area.
Pros:
- Easy to drive and park.
- Extended storage for longer trips.
Cons:
- Problem with height restrictions in many car parks.
- Cross winds.
- No fixed heating and only single glazed windows.
