Primosten - Croatia

Primosten, Dalmatia

Primosten is one of the most typical small towns in the Dalmatian region and one of the most attractive. The town is set on a steep peninsular almost cut off from the mainland. The peaceful, narrow streets wind their way uphill to the church that occupies the highest point on the peninsular. From here, sea views are in every direction and along the rocky coastline. It's a popular holiday spot - the nearby peninsular and sheltered bay are very busy with smimmers and sunbathers.

This section of Dalmatia is how many people see Croatia - a long, mountainous coastline with new vistas around every corner. Tiny fishing villages existing in the hidden bays while many of the headlands have campsites stretched out in the shade of pine trees, each with fantastic sunsets and crystal clear waters.
