Poland - Road Rules
Poland's new motorway network is fast connects the country to the rest of Europe. Back roads are generally much more scenic, but can become very crowded at weekends, particularly heading to the mountain resorts.
Speed limits
- Built up areas - 50km/h (60km/h between 11pm and 5am)
- Normal roads - 90km/h or 100km/h
- Dual carriageways - 120km/h
- Motorways - 140km/h

Limit is 0.02% blood alcohol level. Heavy fines and suspension of licence if this is exceeded.

Road conditions and drivers
The Polish road network is under development with new toll motorways running across the country. These are fast and efficient. Cross country roads are much slower and traffic can be heavy at times.
