Getting Around Singapore

Singapore has an incredibly efficient integrated transport system, with MRT and buses all linking together well. Shared tickets or travel passes can be used across the system - this is simplest with an EZ-Link card.

Singapore's airport, Changi has four terminals linked together by a free shuttle bus and monorail service. The airport is also linked to the main MRT system.

Singapore is connected to Malaysia by a frequent rail service.

The super-efficient MRT connects most of the city quickly and easily. More lines are currently being built which will make some journeys even easier and quicker. Many MRT stations are also bus terminals - others open out into air conditioned shopping centres.

The bus system is well integrated to the MRT - tickets are shared across the two systems with the fare calculated on the total distance travelled.

Taxis are everywhere and relatively affordable for a city of Singapore's size.
