Chinatown - Singapore
Chinatown is a thriving area of Singapore, offering a mix of traditional Chinese amongst the modern city. It's colourful and loud and comes even more to life during the annual New Year celebrations where markets line the street and mini stage shows add to the chaos and noise.
The district is centred around the enormous Thian Hock Keng Temple, but also boasts the impressive Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple as well as mosques and many other temples.
